Common questions
How much does a deck cost?
Every deck is different. The price depends on the size, the height off the ground, the materials you choose (merbau or composite) and extras such as steps, handrails, bench seats or a pergola. After a site inspection we send a clear written quote with the full scope and pricing, so you know what to expect. Quotes are free.
How long will it take?
It depends on the size and complexity of the job. Smaller decks are quicker, while larger or multi-level projects take longer. We give you an estimated timeframe in your quote and keep you updated as the work progresses.
Do I need council approval for a deck?
It can depend on the height, size and position of the deck, as well as your local council and site. We will talk through what applies to your project during the site inspection and advise on the next steps.
Should I choose timber or composite?
Merbau hardwood has a natural grain and a classic look, and needs oiling from time to time to hold its colour. Composite decking, such as Ekodeck, Trex or Eva-Last Pioneer, is low maintenance and resists fading, splinters and weather. We are happy to talk you through the options for your home and budget.
